From 9 to 12 March 2023, the PillerseeTal will be the hub of the hiking world. For the third time, Tyrol will host the European Winter Hiking Days. In addition to joint exploration tours, the programme includes numerous activities related to the most popular winter sport off the ski slopes. After events in St. Johann in Tirol and Kartitsch, the European winter hiking scene will meet in the PillerseeTal holiday region in late winter 2023. Nowhere else in Tyrol are winters as long and snowy as here. Nestled between the Kitzbühel Alps and the Loferer Steinberge mountains, the villages of Fieberbrunn, Hochfilzen, St. Jakob in Haus, Waidring and St. Ulrich am Pillersee can look forward to an incredible 6.71 metres of fresh snow per winter. This makes the region a paradise for all those who prefer to enjoy the Tyrolean snow on foot.

 

Program

  • Individual arrival
  • Short village walk in Fieberbrunn
  • Meeting point: 5 pm at the TVB information office Fieberbrunn
  • Duration: approx. 1 hour
  • Start: 6.30 pm in the village center of Fieberbrunn
  • Program: musical accompaniment, Tyrolean specialties, official welcoming ceremony

BIATHLON WORLD CUP TRAIL - HOAMETZLHÜTTE

  • Meeting/start point: 9.30 am in front of the Hochfilzen tourist office / municipal office

  • Duration: approx. 4 hours

  • Arrival: Regiobus 8302 from the Fieberbrunn Zentrum bus stop at 9.20 am to the Hochfilzen Gemeindeamt bus stop (arrival 9.30 am).

  • Return possible with Regiobus at 15.08 and 16.08.

  • Bus rides: Free of charge with guest card

  • Refreshment stop: Hoametzlhütte, businesses in the village centre of Hochfilzen.

  • TIP: toboggan down into the valley from the Hoametzl hut.

PILLERSEE ROUND TO ST. ADOLARI

  • Meeting/ starting point: 9.45 am in front of the tourist office St. Ulrich a.P.

  • Duration: approx. 2:15 hours

  • Arrival: Regiobus 8302 from the Fieberbrunn Zentrum bus stop at 9.20 am to the St. Ulrich a.P. Gemeindeamt bus stop (arrival 9.37 am).

  • Return possible by bus at 12.33 / 13.02

  • Regiobus free of charge with guest card.

  • Refreshment stops: Gasthof St. Adolari, Forellenranch, businesses in the village centre of St. Ulrich a.P.

AU ROUND

  • Meeting/start point: 12.45 in front of the tourist office St. Ulrich a.P.

  • Duration: approx. 2 hours

  • Arrival: Regiobus 8302 from bus stop Fieberbrunn centre at 12.20 pm to bus stop St. Ulrich a.P. Gemeindeamt (arrival 12.37 pm)

  • Return by bus possible at 15.33 / 16.05 (last ride)

  • Regiobus free of charge with guest card.

  • Refreshment stop: Landhotel Strasserwirt, businesses in the village centre of St. Ulrich a.P.

GUIDED LANTERN WINTER WALK TO LAKE LAUCHSEE

  • Meeting/start point: 5.30 pm valley station Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn

  • Duration: approx. 1:30 hours

  • Arrival: Regiobus 8302 from the Fieberbrunn Zentrum bus stop at 17.23 to the Fieberbrunn Bergbahnen bus stop (arrival 17.26).

  • Footpath from the centre of Fieberbrunn to the valley station: approx. 20 min.

  • Regiobus free of charge with guest card.

  • Refreshment stops: atmospheric catering at the Lauchsee: Weisenbläser, mulled wine, punch, goulash soup, Gerstlsuppe (vegetarian alternative), sweet dessert (€ 19,-/person, to be paid on site)

ZILLSTATT - STREUBÖDEN

  • Meeting/start point: 9.30 am in front of the tourist office Fieberbrunn

  • Duration: approx. 4:30 hours

  • Arrival: Take the Regiobus to the Fieberbrunn Zentrum bus stop.

  • Regiobus free of charge with guest card.

  • Refreshment stops: Gasthof Streuböden Alm, businesses in the village centre of Fieberbrunn.

  • TIP: For the way back you can use the gondola lift (for a fee)!

GRANBACH ROUNDE

  • Meeting/start point: 9.30 am in front of Bäckerei Brotkultur in Rosenegg

  • Duration: approx. 2:30 hours

  • Arrival: Regiobus 8302 from the Fieberbrunn Zentrum bus stop at 9.20 am to the Fieberbrunn Rosenegg Steig A bus stop (arrival 9.23 am).

  • The way back is made from Gruberau with Regiobus 8301. Gruberau from 11.48 am / 12.05 pm (arrival Fieberbrunn centre 11.54 am / 12.10 pm).

  • Regiobus free of charge with guest card.

  • Refreshment stops: If you get off in Rosenegg on the way back, Café Bäckerei Brotkultur, Café Laurens & Lena, Bistro SPAR Markt. Otherwise establishments in the village centre of Fieberbrunn.

PFAFFENSCHWENDT - FIEBERBRUNN

  • Meeting/start point: 1.30 pm bus stop Fieberbrunn Pfaffenschwendt

  • Duration: approx. 1:30 hours

  • Arrival: Regiobus 8302 from the Fieberbrunn Zentrum bus stop at 13.20 to the Fieberbrunn Pfaffenschwendt bus stop (arrival 13.26).

  • Regiobus free of charge with guest card.

  • Refreshment stops: Establishments in the village centre of Fieberbrunn

  • Meeting/start point: 10.00 am in front of the tourist office Fieberbrunn

  • Duration: approx. 1:30 hours
